As the temperature starts to drop, people head indoors, which LECOMs vaccine coordinator Jim Caputo said makes a difference in the spread of respiratory illnesses like the flu, RSV and coronavirus.  

The mRNA vaccines, made by Pfizer and Moderna, target more recent variants of the virus that causes COVID-19.

LECOM hosted their first of 23 flu vaccination clinics, an annual series of clinics across Erie County with the goal of keeping the community healthy ahead of flu season.
