Marilyn Gould says her father couldn't contain his joy when he got the news that he'll soon be living with his wife of almost 70 years again.

There's a shortage of beds and health workers to provide care In Newfoundland and Labrador. It means facilities that provide higher levels of care can't also accept people, like Jim Wolfrey, who don't require as much help.  So, in their mid-80s, the Wolfreys are forced to live apart.

Jim and Theresa Woolfrey are happily married but separated, in different care facilities — one in St. John's, the other in Paradise.
