Events organized by or under the auspices of the city of Festus in 2024 are tried and true favorites of the public, recreation and tourism director Barb Lowry said.
After years of taking place in Festus, the 2024 Cultural Diversity Luncheon moves to the Corpus Christi Center at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Imperial on Feb. 24.
City of Festus-sponsored events coming in September and October include the annual Sundays at Sunset concert series, the Mayor’s Fall Cruise Sept. 16 and the Trash and Treasure Expo Oct. 7.
The Swingin’ Under the Stars is set for 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 23, at Larry G. Crites Memorial Park along Old Hwy. A in Festus. Movies Under the Stars will resume at about 8:45 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at Crites Park, with the screening of a different movie.
