Events organized by or under the auspices of the city of Festus in 2024 are tried and true favorites of the public, recreation and tourism director Barb Lowry said.

The Swingin’ Under the Stars is set for 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 23, at Larry G. Crites Memorial Park along Old Hwy. A in Festus. Movies Under the Stars will resume at about 8:45 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at Crites Park, with the screening of a different movie.
