Vietnam veteran and Medal of Honor recipient honored with historical marker in his Kentucky hometown
Marine Lance Cpl. Joe C. Paul and his platoon suffered heavy fire in Chu Lai, Vietnam, on Aug. 18, 1965. With five comrades wounded, Paul placed himself between them and the Viet Cong so that the wounded could be evacuated.
