Striking Clover workers flocked the main entrance at the head office. Clad in their red union T-shirts, they picketed and sang while heavily armed security guards manned the gates and police vans parked on the side of the road.

A new attack on Clover's operations has left a second security guard dead in two months, and another two seriously injured.

Clover has blamed striking unions for an attack that resulted in the death of a Fidelity security guard who was protecting a Clover delivery truck.

The strike action includes occupying factories which the company plans to shut down as part of its restructuring.

Workers have been on strike since November 2021

Unions got the Commission of Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration to agree that Clover should pay a thirteenth cheque which was owed to employees in November last year.
