The Black Men Flower Project is on a mission to create community and provide support for Black men.

Earlier this year, I was contacted by Kody Ford, Arkansas Cinema Societys Director of Statewide Programs & Outreach. He asked me to be a part of ACSs selection committee for its annual film festival, Filmland. And after watching hours upon hours of short films and features, some good, some great and some mind-numbingly bad, the time has come to screen the proverbial cream of the crop, at the newly renovated Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts.

Focused on using live flowers to really convey meaning and evoke a feeling, Pendleton has made a name for himself in the windy city, not only for being a Black man in the floral industry but by erecting public art installations honoring Black history.
