John Cottrell News Today

IOWA CITY -- Fort Madison High School senior John Cottrell and Keokuk senior Brendan Worster finished out their prep careers in style on Saturday.

Keokuk High School’s Brendan Worster and Fort Madison’s John Cottrell, who swims for Burlington via a sharing agreement, are both planning a busy weekend, two days very familiar to them.

This report contains public information from law enforcement and public safety agencies.

John Cottrell will be the first to say he hasn’t had the senior season he was hoping for.

The Burlington High School girls swimming team benefited from four Fort Madison swimmers this past fall, qualifying all three relays for the state meet.

John Cottrell has been one of the top high school swimmers in southeast Iowa for several years.
