Under a payment scenario spanning from 2026 to 2055, the city would be looking at an annual loan payment of $1.3 million, along with yearly $500,000 alum treatments recommended by an engineer firm.

Three council members say they are against moving forward with dredging at this time, while four are in favor of the project. The council will vote on a 30-year loan application on June 20.

Voters will decide a number of key Mitchell Board of Education and City Council positions, along with two ballot measures involving the planned Mitchell High School project and Lake Mitchell.

"Maybe do something for the little guy who can't afford a $100,000 lot. Keep our designated public areas, because we use them," a letter writer says.

Jason Bates, Mike Bathke and Kimberly Lofgren are the trio of candidates vying for a seat to represent ward 3, while Susan Tjarks and Don Everson are competing for ward 4.

For ward 3, three residents have taken out petitions, including Mike Bathke, Jason Bates and Kimberly Lofgren. Tim Goldammer is the lone resident who has take out a petition for ward 1.

Among the key renovations John Adamo is planning to make are remodeling the main floor for commercial, retail and office space, sprucing up the top floor apartments and replacing the elevator
