THE managing director of Hawick-based Borders Distillery Company has raised a glass to a £35m funding package.

The Borders Distillery has received a £35 million (US$43m) funding package to support its growth over the next three years.

Scottish whisky manufacturer has agreed to a £35m funding package with technology and financing platform Ferovinum.

The funding will support the distillery over the next three years

Spirits Network, a digital streaming platform for spirits enthusiasts, announced it will offer 1,000 private Scotch whisky casks in partnership with The Borders Distillery of Scotland.

The Borders Distillery, located right near the Scotland/England border inside the United Kingdom, recently debuted what's said to be the first blended whisky from the Scottish borders since 1837.
