EAST ST. LOUIS – Former Madison County sheriff John Lakin must defend a claim that his office shared liability with deputy Timothy Mudd and others for a wrongful death, Chief U. S. District Judge Nancy Rosenstengel ruled on Sept. 29.

EDWARDSVILLE – Doug Hulme and Rob Dorman, who worked for Madison County County Board Chairman Kurt Prenzler until the county board fired them in 2020, have filed a new lawsuit against the county and several individuals for damages in Madison County Circuit Court.

BENTON – Siblings Jayson Bull and Angie Roberts oppose each other in suing Madison County over the death of their brother Mark Bull in county jail after he allegedly hit his head while experiencing drug withdrawal symptoms.
