North Country Food Bank Executive Director Susie Boelter presented recently retired John Leikness with the Hunger Hero Award on Tuesday, Oct. 11 for his work at the Bridge Pantry.

Previous Executive Director John Leikness is retiring in October, and Nichole Huebsch will be taking his place as director of the Perham Bridge Pantry.

When the Perham Public Schools announced that they wouldn't have funding for the Summer Feeding Program for summer 2022, a group of local residents came together to change this.

March is the best month of the year to make a donation to the Bridge Community Pantry of Perham, as Minnesota FoodShare's March Campaign provides a unique opportunity for communities to raise money, food and necessities for families and individuals in need.
