The Gospel Train is a song that looks at the many different aspects of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As we go through the bible, the word "Gospel" is mentioned over one hundred times in the New Testament. The Gospel is the good news of the kingdom of God, and there are many aspects to it. This song encourages us to "ride the Gospel Train," by which I mean that we should learn all we can about the good news of the gospel and Jesus Christ. My father was a builder. He used to build houses and when I was a teenager, he would often ask me to help him as he laid out the foundations. I recall asking why it had to be so deep and he replied, “This area used to be the bed of a river and it still floods from time to time. If we don’t make the foundations solid, then the next time it floods the house may be severely damaged.”
