The latest Milwaukee-area brewery to send beer our way is Ope! Brewing Co. of West Allis.

Bennos opened in November 1980 at 73rd and National before a 1989 move to its permanent home at 74th and Greenfield.

Ope! Brewing Co. in West Allis has big plans for the future. From the name right down to the beers, it is raising the bar on Wisconsin wordplay.

"Ope" is no longer going to be just a Midwestern expression of surprise. This year, three buddies are planning to turn it into a new brewery in West Allis.  John Onopa of Wauwatosa, Kyle Ciske of West Allis and Adam Anders of Brookfield are looking to open Ope!
