A Vermont man was killed in a three-car crash Wednesday afternoon along Route 110 in Stark, state police said.

Mr. Marshall was given medical attention but was pronounced deceased at the scene. Mr. Caron was transported by EMS to Weeks Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Mr. Schwind and a passenger did not sustain any injuries at the time of the crash.

From an initial pool of 1500 entries, the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority whittled down entrants to two winners and two runners up, awarding $400,000.

Entrepreneurs, universities and corporations are competing to take home $150,000 as one of the two top winners of the federal Mask Innovation Challenge.

The point of the challenge is to inspire and design masks that are comfortable, even with long wear, and provide excellent protection.
