(Photo by Pat Blair) A grant application for Federal assistant under the Airport Coronavirus Response Grant Program (ACRGP) was approved by the Sheridan County Commission at their meeting this week. Airport Manager John Stopka brought the application before the commission and explained what the grant is and how it can be used. Stopka said the funds from the grant will be used for general use for operations, debt service, and personnel. The amount of the grant is for just over $1 million.

The Sheridan County Commission has approved a second lease agreement at the Sheridan County Airport Business Park. The lease id for multiple lots in the business park to house Falcon Cars Corporation, which will construct manufacturing and office space facilities for the purpose of manufacturing electric vehicle components and the development of electrical flight systems, according to the agreement. Sheridan County’s Commissioners approved a lease agreement between the county and Dynamix Energy Corporation for a tract of land in the Airport Business Park. Airport Manager John Stopka explained what the lease will allow the company to do at the business park. Stopka said the initial rental fee will be roughly $5,200 annually for the first five years, then increase based on the Wyoming Cost of Living Index afterwards.
