The Carlsbad Veterans Honor Guard, Grace Rodriguez, Rabbi Jay Newcomb, Liza Carrasco and several local youth all assisted us with the ceremony as well.

Carlsbad residents took time Friday to honor military veterans with a parade and dedication ceremony for a new veterans cemetery in Carlsbad.

The parade will leave at 10 a.m. Nov. 11 and head south along Mesa Street, which then turns into Boyd Drive.
