Polk County resident, Joshua Doolin and two of his co-conspirators, Olivia Pollock and Michael Perkins will soon have their day in court. All three are accused of rioting and storming the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. However, the trio just decided to skip a jury trial and try their luck with a bench trial.

Three Polk County residents charged together in the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol won their request to sever their case from a fourth co-defendant who decided he will act as his own attorney at trial. 

A man accused of rioting at the Capitol on January 6 is heading to trial in a few months and wants to ban several words from the courtroom. 

Four Polk County residents accused of attacking Capitol police officers during the January 6, 2021 riot want evidence suppressed from a jury when they head to trial in March — asking for any images or testimony about weapons, ammunition, or body armor to be thrown out because they say it will inflame or prejudice jurors.
