The adoption of rubber ducks for the Wabash Valley Rubber Duck Regatta will begin Friday with a special guest to adopt the first duck.

The Ryves Youth Center has a new program director. Catholic Charities made the announcement Wednesday that Jim Pinkstaff will take over the role of Program Director for the center. Pinkstaff, formerly the center's Educational Coordinator, has 13 years of experience in working with Ryves.

Jim Edwards has been a champion for the children and families of Ryves neighborhood for 40 years.
