On Tuesday, a new lecture series focusing on the contemporary relevance of American philosopher and educator John Dewey will kick off at Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Morris Library.

The Dewey Dialogues, a new lecture series that focuses on the contemporary relevance of John Dewey’s philosophical and public work, kicks off at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, in Southern Illinois University Carbondale’s Morris Library.

Southern Illinois University will commemorate October as LGBTQ+ History Month with the theme of "History, Community, Resilience."

A variety of special events and activities are planned, with most open to the campus community and public at no cost.
