Around 40 more students have requested on-campus housing than there are beds available.

Clemson University trustees approved a $21 million project to widen Perimeter Road on-campus, which would make the commuter roadway four lanes in its entirety, according to a presentation given to the board.  The project would widen the two-lane sections of the road — which is a high-traffic commuter road and used during athletic events — and is the latest part of the universitys multi-year roadway improvement project.  A traffic consultant said the highest priority for the project is to ...
