As a long-standing tradition, BTV has been organising special events featuring live bands during the Eid festival, and this year promises to be no exception.

Paridhi, a five member musical ensemble from Kolkata, recently launched their original Jhilmil from their album Taara Bazaar. The album consists of eight tracks, four in Hindi and four in Bangla, all speaking touching the theme of dreams and thoughts we have at night. The band is inspired by and a tribute to independent musicians and bands such as Indian Ocean, Raghu Dixit, and Chandrabindoo. They are planning to tour with Taara Bazaar this year and ensure it reaches a pan-India audience.

The shows are scheduled to take place in West Bengal’s Dum Dum, Chakdaha and Haldia between January 3 to January 5, where the band will perform at the prestigious “Dum Dum Sangeet Mela” music festival’s fourth edition, officially scheduled from January 3 till January 7, as the only Bangladeshi band.
