The Michigan Department of Transportation will review new traffic data and could alter some of what it has put forward for the I-375 replacement.

The design of West Davison is different from what’s planned for the new I-375 boulevard. But the similarities has some residents questioning its benefits.

The work is very sensitive given the well-known devastation that followed the original creation of I-375. Two predominantly Black neighborhoods - both Black Bottom and Paradise Valley were gone afterward.
