A fatal fire that killed 15 students and wounded at least 19 others outside Buffalo 70 years ago helped change school fire prevention practices.

Cambria Supervisor Wright Ellis is serving out the rest of his term this weekend. After being elected in 1991, Ellis has not stopped performing what he describes as “public service.”

The Town of Cambria has been actively challenging development of the up-to-100-megawatt Bear Ridge Solar project since 2018, incurring approximately $99,000 in legal and engineering fees.
