As Canadians grow more concerned about the grocery industry and the profits it's turning as food prices climb, some are turning to grocery co-ops — organizations that are owned by their members, who have a say in how they're run. 

Forget Trader Joe's. Some observers say Canadian grocery co-ops are a better climate-friendly community alternative to big foreign chains.
