Higgins combination of talents, skills and temperament could work to the advantage not just of Sheas, but the city and region that it enlivens and which relies on its success.

Sheas Performing Arts Center has announced the appointment of Congressman Brian Higgins as its next president and CEO. Following his career, serving as the U.S. representative for New Yorks 26th congressional district since 2005, Higgins is set to lead Sheas Performing Arts Center beginning Feb. 5, 2024.

Rep. Brian Higgins was announced Monday as the new president and chief executive officer of Sheas Performing Arts Center.

Higgins will begin his new job at Shea's beginning February 5, 2024.

Higgins will assume the new role beginning Feb. 5, 2024.

Gov. Kathy Hochul and Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown announced the appointment of additional members to the May 14th Memorial Commission.

Gov. Hochul and Mayor Brown announced five additional members have been appointed to the May 14 Memorial Commission.

The commission was established in October in response to the mass shooting at Tops Friendly Markets on Jefferson Avenue on May 14.

The commission will help develop a physical memorial in East Buffalo to memorialize the life and legacy of ten Black residents of Buffalo who died.
