Jonathan Lepperd stabbed the victim multiple times in the face, neck, chest and stomach with a 7-inch hunting knife in an attempt to kill her.

A Carlisle man who was charged in March for attempting to hire an inmate to kill a woman he stabbed last year has pleaded guilty in both cases.

A Cumberland County man pleaded guilty to stabbing his ex-girlfriend and then asking inmates to kill her and witnesses, according to the district attorney's office.

It was only a couple of days from when Jonathan Lepperd was arrested for assaulting his ex-girlfriend to when he returned to her home to finish his attack, according to court documents.

Pennsylvania State Police say a man stabbed his girlfriend and led troopers on a chase in Cumberland County.
