The Injury Prevention Research Center at Emory (IPRCE) has been awarded $296,500 from the Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) to measure seat belt use rates and driver distractions in Georgia this year.

The Injury Prevention Research Center at Emory University, Grady Health System and collaborators at the University of Michigan have been awarded a five-year, $4.4 million project to continue studying motor vehicle crashes in metro Atlanta that result in injuries treated at Grady.

The study will be funded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
