Hosted by the Wadena Area Chamber of Commerce the annual Christmas Festival will feature over 70 plus vendors, free horse-drawn carriage rides, Santa, entertainment and so much more.

The gala event has 500 young performers playing on 20 grand pianos in ensemble groups. The concert was June 3 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

Three Wadena piano students will move on to the Minnesota Music Teacher Association's state-level piano contest after winning their preliminary rounds at Alexandria on Jan. 28.

Three Wadena-Deer Creek students received the highest scores during a recent Minnesota Music Teacher Association piano theory exam held in Detroit Lakes in February.
