Family of man who died at Morgan County Jail files suit alleging he was denied medical care

The mother of a Jacksonville man who died last year while in custody is suing Morgan County, jail or sheriffs department officials, and health care providers.

Brian C. Downs died while in custody of the Morgan County jail. His mother says there still are too many questions unanswered about the nearly 60 hours between his arrest and when he died.
