The Maui Police Department on Tuesday released the names of six people who died in the Aug. 6 Lahaina wildfire — all members of an extended Filipino clan who lost eight family members in the disaster, with one still missing.

Of the 97 confirmed fatalities, 89 have been publicly identified after notification of next of kin, while one other has been identified but their family has not been located or notified.

The identities of six more people who died in the Lahaina fire disaster have now been released. The death toll remains at 97.
