Animal control officials removed a massive 8-foot-long alligator named Big Mack from a Philadelphia row home, where he had been confined to the basement for more than a decade.

A massive eight-foot-long alligator named Big Mack was removed from a basement in a Philadelphia home where hed been kept for more than a decade after his owners split up. 

The large alligator found inside a home in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia now has a new home.

Big Mack, whose rescue from a North Philly basement captured the hearts and night terrors of those on the internet, has found a new home.
