Power BI introduces a bunch of new additions and improvements at Build 2021 May 25, 2021 11:00 EDT with 0 comments
Today, on the first day of Build 2021, Microsoft has announced new features and capabilities for its data analytics service.
The Embedded variant of Power BI now offers users the ability to embed Power BI analytics reports in Jupyter Notebooks in preview. Embedded Analytics enable data app developers to engage directly with data and generate reports as per their requirements.
Power BI Premium has received new additions and improvements as well. To start off, Automation APIs that help cater to deployment pipeline capabilities have been added, allowing developers to use Azure DevOps, Azure Pipeline, or similar tools, to automate the deployment of Power BI assets and integrate into their existing app deployment framework.
Hi HN! Iâm Rowan and with my co-founder Steve we are building Curvenote (https://curvenote.com) â a technical writing tool for sharing data analysis and research from Jupyter with a wider audience.
We are building Curvenote to get science communication out of PDFs and help researchers and data-scientists communicate interactive, reproducible results (graphs, figures, maps, etc.) that are linked to the actual data and computation. There are currently two parts to Curvenote: 1) a WYSIWYG collaborative writing environment for interactive, technical documents; and 2) a Jupyter integration that adds version control and commenting and can link interactive plots and outputs directly into Curvenote documents (including any new versions or comments on those outputs).
Physics courses inspired by âgood gamesâ help draw high schoolers to STEM careers

Well-designed games ones with clearly stated goals, an emphasis on storytelling, an allowance for “productive failure,” and an emphasis on supportive teamwork and inclusiveness can point the way to a better classroom environment, too, says University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Lauren Rast, Ph.D., an assistant professor in the College of Arts and Sciences’ Department of Physics.
Rast is a UAB pioneer in a mode of instruction called gameful learning. Faculty in the Department of Physics already have applied gameful learning in their increasingly popular online courses. And in a series of workshops for high school physics teachers inspired by her own work as a computational physicist, Rast has helped teachers share the benefits of
