PESHAWAR: Provincial Inspector General of Police Sanaullah Abbasi said on Thursday KP Police had given skills-based investigation training focusing on modern investigation techniques for over 100 cops.
He stated this in a meeting with a delegation from the British High Commission to review the Justice System Support Programme (JSSP) funded by the British government, said an official handout.
The focus of the programme is to improve the quality of investigations in serious crimes, especially sexual violence against women and children, and to ultimately improve users’ experience of criminal justice system.
The police chief told the delegation inspection protocols had been developed and implemented across the province to improve performance management of investigations.
PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police Dr Sanaullah Abbasi said on Thursday that focus on improvement of investigation led to two per cent decrease in acquittal rate in Mardan and Charsadda districts.
A statement issued here said that Dr Abbasi told a delegation of British High Commission’s Justice System Support Programme (JSSP) that project focus on improvement in investigation led to two per cent reductions in acquittal rates since 2018 in both the districts, where it was piloted.
He said that interventions initiated in the pilot districts were extended to the entire province.
JSSP is funded by the British government and provides technical support to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and police. It is focused on bringing improvement in quality of investigation in serious crimes, especially sexual violence against women and children, and to ultimately improve users’ experience of criminal justice system.

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Mar, 2021 ) :Khyber PakhtunkhwaPolice have introduced a fully automated complaint redressal system comprising new modes of communication and advance features.
The system provides a mechanism of easy-to-access and prompt redressal of public complaints.
This was told to Inspector General of Police (IGP) KP, Dr. Sanaullah Abbasi during a video link conference here Friday at Central Police Office (CPO).
The conference was attended by all the RPOs and DPOs via video link. Addl: IGP HQRs, Commandant Elite, DIG HQRs, DIG Ops, DIG Investigation, AIG Establishment and other high ranking police officers participated in the conference. A delegation of JSSP and USIP also attended the conference.
