The Nigerian Police, Bauchi State Police Command, have arrested five suspects for alleged armed robbery and criminal conspiracy. 

The university vice-chancellor, Muhammad Umar, a professor, has also approved appointment of other individuals into various positions in the institution.

One of the two security outfits awarded the contract to protect the 45-kilometre Abuja rail tracks and stations by the Nigerian government is owned by the National Chairman, Jama’atu Izalatul Bidi’ah wa Ikamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), Abbdullahi Bala-Lau.
