A bomber blew himself up on Friday at a Kabul study hall as hundreds of pupils were taking tests in preparation for university entrance exams in the city's Dasht-e-Barchi area.

India strongly condemned the terror attack on an educational institution in Kabuls Dasht-e-Barchi neighbourhood.

The blast went off at the entrance to the Russian Embassys consular section, where Afghans were waiting for news about their visas.

The Taliban has said that the explosion in the mosque in Kabul was carried out by the militant group Islamic State, killing at least 20 people.

Eleven Afghan Sikhs will arrive in India on Thursday with the ashes of Sawinder Singh, who was killed in an attack on a gurdwara in Kabul, according to people coordinating with the Indian government for their transfer.
