Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience
Sunday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Get Gogh-ing to the Hawai‘i Convention Center in Kamehameha Exhibit Hall III to immerse yourself into the colorful world of Vincent Van Gogh. Watch his most famous works come alive through projection technology. While more than 300 of his masterpieces dance across the walls, listen as Van Gogh’s own words, set to a symphonic score, narrate the experience. The third day of the third month means Girls’ Day in Hawai‘i and a good reason to celebrate the girls and women in your life with mochi or other treats. Our colleagues on the Frolic Hawai‘i team did our homework for us on where to find a tasty and lovely array of goodies to mark this day in a sweet, and often very pink, fashion.

Center announces additional ‘Live @ the MACC’ streaming events

Gypsy Pacific is a vibrant gypsy-jazz band based on Maui. From left, bassist Marcus Johnson, guitarists Tom Conway and Phil Benoit, and violinist Willy Wainwright have been performing and recording in Hawaii for nearly 20 years.
KAHULUI The Maui Arts & Cultural Center recently launched its “Live @ the MACC” series. The series consists of rock, pop, holiday and Hawaiian music concerts, hula and contemporary dance performances as well as the visual arts. Each event will be Saturday night at 7:30 p.m., but instead of the audience coming to the center, The MACC will come to its audiences, live-streamed on the MACC website as well as its Facebook and YouTube pages.
