A year into the Midland Avenue reconstruction efforts, construction crews are winding down for the winter with more than half the project in the rearview.
It’s been just shy of a year since Snowmass Village Town Council reviewed and approved the final redevelopment plans for the Snowmass Center in late fall of 2020 and just shy of two years since the project was first brought before council for review in 2019. But the building still looks the same as it did last year and the year before. Why?
Crews are on track to have Interstate 70 through Glenwood Canyon open at full capacity by the time the winter season starts, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
A significant portion of the South Midland Avenue project could be paved by the first week of October, Gould Construction Superintendent Dave Metrovich said.
