A lot of the narrative on modern manufacturing automation has to do with using technology as a substitute for employees. This is especially true in the woodworking industry where finding skilled workers is routinely listed as the number one problem. But when Kathy and Tony Everett bought Millwork on 31st in Charlotte, North Carolina, they had a different vision for what automation could do.
The Everetts came to the woodworking industry from a non-woodworking background, but they were well versed in running a manufacturing business and using lean manufacturing techniques. They had bought a school bus seating company in 2006, which they grew from a $6 million operation to more than $20 million in sales. They sold that to a family-owned conglomerate, and Tony took over management of that division in the conglomerate while Kathy handled sales. Together the

Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who loved his family, church, and community and served them all faithfully during his lifetime. He had a passion for helping others whether it be for family, friends, or the community. He was a highly-skilled contractor, who took great pride in the home he built for his family where they have resided for over 40 years. Larry enjoyed beautifying his home in the woods and found raking/blowing leaves to be therapeutic and now leaves this fun for his children (Thanks, Dad aka Bubba J. ).

ATLANTA, GA (WGCL) COVID-19 has affected the lives of countless people, and for Kathy Everett’s daughter it means she can’t do her favorite thing in the world: enjoying restaurants with her family.
“We have been in lockdown since this all started,” said Everett, adding, “I just can’t take those chances right now, especially when I read the studies; the increase in people with down syndrome getting it and getting so sick and dying.”
Kathy Everett is a caregiver for her daughter with down syndrome, and has been desperate to get herself and her daughter vaccinated.
