The 10-member group has committed another $5.4 million through 2025 to the efforts aimed at building the capacity of local leaders and public and private organizations working in areas like small business growth, economic mobility, public spaces and education in Pontiac.

The grants will be dispersed by the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan. Theyll go toward nonprofits that work in several sectors.

The grants from the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan will fund everything from a new farmers market to summer jobs for future veterinarians.
