Halloween is just a week away, but some Calgary mortgage holders and buyers might be more haunted by the potential of another looming interest rate hike from the Bank of Canada.

Canadas annual inflation rate crept up to 3.3 per cent in July, pushed higher in part by high energy prices.

Canadas latest reading on inflation came in hotter than expected as the cost of groceries continued to climb at the fastest pace in decades, setting the stage for another sizeable interest rate hike next week.
