Center Theatre Group has named Snehal Desai as its artistic director, making the East West Players leader the first person of color to helm the organization.

Snehal Desai will become the next artistic director of Los Angeles’ Center Theatre Group, joining Managing Director / CEO Meghan Pressman to lead one of the nation’s largest theatre organizations.

Desai comes to the Los Angeles company after a seven-year tenure with East West Players.
