For the fourth consecutive World Cup event, the athletes of USA Luge stood on the podium. Chevonne Forgan and Sophie Kirkby won the bronze in the women’s doubles competition at the home of the 1964 and 1976 Olympic Winter Games.  

The U.S. women’s singles team was led by Park Citys Ashley Farquharson, who placed sixth, while Emily Sweeney finished the day in eighth place after coming back from a challenging first run.

The U.S. women closed out today’s EBERSPAECHER Luge World Cup with four medals across the singles, singles sprint, and doubles sprint races today in front of a home crowd at Mt. Van Hoevenberg in Lake Placid.
