"Lend Me a Tenor,” the Tony Award-winning comedy by Ken Lugwig, is set in a lavish Cleveland hotel suite in 1934. World renowned tenor, Tito Merelli, has signed on to sing the title role in Pagliacci at the Cleveland Opera Company. His appearance is crucial to the survival of the company, but, through a set of crazy circumstances, he passes out after accidentally mixing wine with tranquilizers.
