Henderson County (Jan 24, 2022) - The Opportunity House, which faces a lawsuit challenging whether it is operating legally as a nonprofit, could also be forced to defend its exemption from property taxes.

Henderson County (Dec 17, 2021) - A lawsuit to determine whether the Opportunity House is operating as a nonprofit agency and whether it can sell its building and land can proceed, Chief Resident Superior Court Judge Peter Knight said in an order last month.

Henderson County (Nov 5, 2021) - The Opportunity House, which has shown little evidence that it’s offering services to the community, defended itself in court this week against a three-year-old lawsuit that asks a judge to determine whether the agency remains a nonprofit.
