One run was enough. The Arizona Wildcats got a solo home run from Sharlize Palacios in the fifth inning Sunday afternoon and defeated the Missouri Tigers to win the title in the Columbia Regional in the NCAA Tournament at Mizzou Softball Stadium.

Laurin Krings put the “K” in her last name Saturday night. Krings struck out 11 batters, which included striking out the side in the bottom of the seventh inning, to complete a three-hitter Saturday night, leading the Missouri Tigers to a 2-0 win in an elimination game against Missouri State in the Columbia Regional of the NCAA Softball Tournament at Mizzou Softball Stadium.

It was Laurin Krings’ day. The Missouri sophomore right-hander recorded 12 strikeouts Friday afternoon to lead the Tigers to a 3-1 victory against Missouri State in the opening game of the Columbia Regional in the NCAA Softball Tournament.

Laurin Krings was impressive, and the Tigers can breathe a sigh of relief for a few hours, anyway
