The Jefferson City Lady Jays came into the season looking for their first Central Missouri Activities Conference title. The Lady Jays are now halfway there after their 25-14, 25-22, 16-25, 29-27 victory Tuesday against the Capital City Lady Cavaliers on Senior Night at Fleming Fieldhouse.

The Capital City Lady Cavaliers beat the California Lady Pintos 25-22, 25-23, 23-25, 25-23 on Tuesday at Capital City High School to claim the Lady Cavaliers’ first program win against California. The Lady Pintos were 6-0-1 all-time against Capital City before the match.
It was for the best Monday night’s matchup between the Helias Lady Crusaders the Capital City Lady Cavaliers was played under rally scoring and not side out scoring. Otherwise, they both still might have been on the volleyball court into the wee hours of the morning. In what was a defensive battle, the Lady Crusaders used strong finishes in all three sets to pull away to a 25-22, 25-17, 25-23 victory in Central Missouri Activities Conference play against the Lady Cavaliers at Capital City High School.
It’s a win, but it wasn’t as convincing as the Capital City volleyball team wanted it to be. The Lady Cavaliers won the first two sets, but then the St. Clair Lady Bulldogs came within one point of forcing a fifth set Thursday night. However, Capital City won the final three points to secure a 26-24, 25-17, 22-25, 27-25 win at Capital City High School.
