When Trocaire College pulled out of a deal to buy Medaille University, it cited concerns that Medaille had filed for pandemic-related federal tax credits it may not be legally entitled

Dr. Lori Quigley was appointed interim president of Medaille immediately following Macur's announcement Monday

“Medaille is honored to be recognized as a university," said Kenneth Macur, Medaille president, in a statement to Business First.

The funds were raised through a bottle campaign and matching donations from college leadership.

Students at Medaille College plan to protest Friday over a recent incident involving campus security officers.

Medaille College is reaching across New York State, and particularly into its rural areas, to offer financial aid to bring new students to Agassiz Circle in North Buffalo.
