An advisory board of three judges in the Karnataka high court has approved the booking of notorious rowdy-sheeter Vishal Singh Chauhan under the Goonda Act. Vishal is facing charges of 14 crimes in Karnataka, Goa, and Maharashtra including murder, kidnapping, and robbery. City police commissioner Iada Martin Marbaniang passed the Goonda Act against him.

A youth died on the spot after his bike collided with a road divider on Belagavi College Road on Monday morning. The victim was identified as Pankaj, 24, of Macche village of Belagavi taluk. He sustained grievous injuries when his bike lost control and hit the divider. Another youth, who sustained minor injuries, is being treated. A case has been registered at Khade Bazar police station.
