Maryam to visit Karachi for supporting Miftah in his by-polls drive

National April 22, 2021 KARACHI: PML-N’s central leader Maryam Nawaz will be arriving in the port city Saturday to help the party’s candidate and former federal minister Miftah Ismail in his election campaign in NA-249 by-polls. The seat had fallen vacant after Faisal Vawda of the ruling PTI resigned from the National Assembly for his Senate seat. In the 2018 general elections, Vawda had defeated PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif with a narrow margin. PML-N’s central leader and MNA Kheal Das Kohistani said Maryam will reach Karachi on a two-day visit on the weekend mainly to run the party’s candidate Miftah Ismail’s campaign in the constituency.

Karachi December 21, 2020 The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s Sindh chapter has intensified their efforts to ensure a warm welcome for Maryam Nawaz, the party’s central leader, in her first political appearance in rural Sindh after she accepted Pakistan People Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s invitation to attend the party’s December 27 rally in Larkana. The PPP has been working to organise another power show of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) on December 27 on the 13th death anniversary of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto and PPP Chairman Bilawal has contacted leaders of the alliance’s component parties and invited them to attend the rally.
